Newington Trinity is a vibrant church on the south side of Edinburgh and offers engaging ministry to all ages. We do not shy away from the difficult questions the world poses us and, through our worship, children’s and youth clubs and house groups we offer a space in the midst of busy lives where people can search, wonder and pray together.

We were formed in January 2005 after a parish union of Craigmillar Park , Mayfield Salisbury and Priestfield Churches and continue worshipping in the Mayfield Salisbury building while also retaining the Priestfield Church building.

We are an inclusive congregation, crossing boundaries of class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, marital status and family situation. Our ethos of inclusion, in line with our understanding of ministry and service, comes from our deep belief that the ministry of Jesus Christ, which we offer, is intended for all people. To that end we welcome all those who wish to journey with us.

Worship lies at the centre of the life of this community. Our doors are open to all: those sure in their faith, those living with unanswered or unanswerable questions, those living creatively with doubt, those who have been to a church before, those never before over the door of a church, those who are happy in their lives, those who live with pain or sorrow, and those who are rich and those who are poor. No matter creed (or none), sexual orientation, colour or ethnic background: you are welcome! This is the House of God.

You are welcome to join us in journey.
